Will my building pass local buidling codes?
Yes, we design based on the current building code, however there may be specific requirements for your building location that it would be best to reach out to the AHJ prior to purchasing a building.
Can you expand a steel building?
Yes, if you option for expandable walls, your steel building will be able to hold additional framing in the future.
Are windows offered on a steel building?
Yes, we offer dual pane windows with 1″ nail fin typically in a horizontal slider, picture (non-operable) windows are also an option.
How are buildings shipped?
Borga ships components and buildings through our own trucks and drivers, and on occasion we use third party companies. We also offer customers the option to Will Call their orders.
What is the difference between Cold Formed and Tube Framed buildings?
Tube framed buildings are typically made of lightweight, hollow steel tubes. They are less durable and may require more frequent maintenance. Cold formed buildings are made with galvanized CEE and ZEE purlins that can last for 50+ years with proper maintenance while offering flexibility in design.
Where are Borga Buildings Manufactured?
All Borga Buildings and Components are manufactured in Fowler, California.
Are buildings insulated?
Yes, during the quoting process the sales representative will ask what R-Value of insulation you would like included in the building. We offer rolled batt, vinyl backed insulation.
How long does it take to manufacture a building?
Cold Formed buildings can be manufactured in as little as 2 weeks, but vary depending on what accessories were purchased with the building package. Welded buildings vary about 3 months from detailing to delivery.
What gauge is the sheeting of buildings?
All sheeting comes standard in 26G.
What is the lead time for a component order?
Component orders are completed in about 5-10 business days.
What is considered a component order?
Component orders are any individual part that is either manufactured or purchased, i.e. trims, purlins, gutter, fasteners and accessories.
What style of roll up doors do you offer?
We offer DBCI Heavy duty commercial doors; 2500 Series is a heavy-duty sheet door suitable for warehouse and freight buildings, 3100 Series built to stand up to strong winds caused by tornadoes and hurricanes for years with little-to-no maintenance, the durable 3100 series door meets the stringent building codes of many coastal areas.
Can you design my Barndominium?
We can assist you with the shell design, however you will want to work with an architect or professional designer to design the interiors of your building. If you already have an architect you can share their drawings with our team and we will use them to design the building.
When can I lock in my price?
Pricing is locked in on your building contract once the building is released to fabrication. Component pricing is locked in once a quote is signed.
Do you provide take-offs?
We do not provide take-offs for component orders.
What gauges are offered for CEES and ZEES?
We stock 12, 14 and 16g coils to manufacture custom length purlins. We physically stock 14g and 16g 20′ and 25′ CEEs available for same day purchase/pick-up.
Do you offer punches on CEES/ZEES?
Yes, if punch patterns are provided punches can be made during the manufacturing process.
What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept cash, checks, wire transfer and ACH payments. If you are picking up an order a Cashier’s Check is required.
Do you offer Installation?
No, but we can refer you to licensed contractors in your area.
Can I order custom lengths for panels and purlins (CEE or ZEE)?
Yes, maximum lengths for panels is 60 ft. and maximum length for purlins is 68 ft.
Do you sell skylights?
Yes, we sell skylights for various panels. BSP in 10 ft, 12 ft, and 16 ft long, BP and Classic profiles in 12 ft long panels.
